Pot, meet kettle
According to the
Shelby Star, Defeated Sheriff Raymond Hamrick is again in the news. He’s claiming that he needs to check the record of leave time of Alan Norman, the Democrat candidate for Sheriff, and if there’s not enough time left, then he must terminate him.
This, coming form a Sheriff who was pretty much on leave since his last re-election. It’s been pretty clear, in my opinion, that Hamrick has decided to be a thorn in the side (actually a pain in the butt) to anyone that caused him to lose the primaries. He has no one to blame but himself. He’s been contrite, he’s been petty, and he’s been antagonizing, to say the least. As I said, that’s just my opinion.
At best, Sheriff Hamrick has shown himself to be quite the manipulator. His remarkable recovery happening to manifest itself on the final day of registration to run for the office, is, well, just amazing. After all these years, he finally is able to go to work. Well, hallelujah. Go, Raymond.
Raymond is definitely not qualified to be in one of those old “Texaco” commercials. Remember those? Something about “you can trust your car to the man who wears the star”...yea, right. I’ll tell you this...we’re giving Lincoln County a run for their money in regards to despicable administrations, especially the Sheriff’s office.
I know the powers that be will be out to tell us that they’ve been on it from day one, and we believe it, right? What a joke. November will be here soon enough, and I encourage you to make some very serious decisions this time. Vote smart, and vote you ideals. Party be damned. Vote for the candidate who most represents your views. Don’t vote for the lesser to two evils. You still get evil, regardless. And for sure, don’t stay home...at least vote for something.
